My strong advice to fellow builders in this community — DO things that DO NOT scale.

I keep seeing the same pattern around me.

Early products getting buried under CRMs, automations, funnels, analytics…

All tools meant for companies at a completely different stage. And then we wonder why nothing clicks.

When you have 1–10 users, this is as raw as it gets.

You should be:

Talking to every single user
Onboarding them yourself
Sitting with their problems and fixing things live

Instead, people are setting up onboarding flows.

At 11–100 users, you finally start seeing patterns.

What actually matters:

Repeating what’s working
Staying very close to users

What usually happens:
More tools. More layers. Less actual understanding.

At 101–1000, things start to break.

Now systems can help. But only for things you already understand deeply.

And at 1000+, sure go all in on scale.

But most of us aren’t here yet.

The real edge early on is simple: Remove friction completely.

Don’t worry about “proper signup flows”
Don’t force users through journeys

Just get them to value. Even if it’s manual, messy, and totally unscalable. That’s where all the real learning is.

Honestly feels like a lot of us hide behind tools because the unscalable work is uncomfortable. Or just because a lot of us just love the solutions not the problems.

But that’s the work that actually moves things.

I'm thinking to start working on a small suite of products for early founders -
stuff that helps you stay close to users instead of pushing you into scale mode too early.

Still figuring it out.
